Congratulations Di, Lismore citizen of the year 2022

Australia Day 2022, Announcement and Congratulations !

Lismore Citizen of the year 2022: 

It is with great pleasure to let you know that Di has been awarded the title of Lismore Citizen for the year 2022.

Di has tirelessly and diligently contributed above and beyond in creating, nurturing, and creating a safe place for residents of Lismore and the LGA who are living with Parkinson's' Disease since 2015. 

She has humbly served the community without fanfare or applause, yet has made both, directly and indirectly, degrees of difference in people's lives that could only be measured in magnitudes.Further, she has been the lynchpin in running the campaign for the acquisition of a dedicated Parkinsons' Nurse. 

Although not successful yet in the mission, she has managed to create huge awareness and construct arguments to support the case for such an appointment. Di has campaigned through Parkinson's New South Wales, with both the active and generous support of Jenny Dowell and Jannelle Saffin, with our issues being raised in the NSW house of parliament, and being bought to the awareness of the local residents of the LGA through local media..

Of note also, is her weekly writings and photography on the Parkinsons Lismore Facebook page, which are both uplifting, engaging, and simply beautiful in their own right.Thankyou Di, and a very well-earned and deserving award.
